Had a wonderful time with Tom Ascol on the DL today, taking calls and discussing, at first, the Caner situation, but moving beyond that fairly quickly to broader issues of the gospel and the like. Good calls, a hopefully very useful program.

Wandered all over the landscape, I must admit, today. Talked about Prop 8 in California, the HHS debacle, and then launched into a one hour segment of Radio Free Geneva, reading a few interesting statements found on line, then getting back to Emir Caner’s anti-Calvinism sermon from 2011. Then we got back into the Ehrman/Wallace debate the last half hour

Spent most of our time playing an attempted response from Leighton Flowers to our last program, and then played some more of David Allen’s comments, including some pretty amazing examples of eisegesis and category errors. Numerous head-shaking moments in this one to be sure! I also mentioned we have three over-seas trips scheduled for 2017, so we need your help,
Took the time to look through Eric Mason’s comments from this weekend on reparations, then discussed (but did not play because I figured our video would get DMCA’d as a result) Lecrae’s capitulation on the issue of homosexuality on a secular interview, and finished up talking about sacralism in response to Timothy Keller and our brief exchange last week. Finished
Went into the big studio today to use the board to nail down a full response to the currently viral story about the alleged history of the Bible and the meaning of arsenokoites at 1 Corinthians 6 and 1 Timothy 1.
