The first major topic that James talked about today was how a handful of Supreme Court judges in Massachusetts were able to redefine marriage to include homosexuality. A caller from Massachusetts calls in on that very subject and then switches gears and debates James on John chapter 6 and Calvinism. The last caller talked about comparing and contrasting the interpretation
Started off discussing the continued moral schizophrenia of Western Culture and the continuing progression of NewSpeak, the evisceration of the language (diversity and inclusive becoming their own antonyms), and then got a few more minutes of Harry Knox’s comments covered as well. Then we shifted gears after a break and I responded to Abdullah Kunde’s article here.
Today I started off discussing the launch of “Evangelicals for Marriage Equality,” and given that the phrase “marriage equality” is a lie-phrase, well—that becomes part of the discussion. Wandered about a bit for the first half hour on that topic, then someone on Twitter completely derailed everything. I was about to discuss my Twitter convo with Brian Zahnd (see below)
I’m settled into a quiet nook of the woods in East Texas right now, so we did a program that touched on developments in the covid insanity, provided a response on “contextualization” regarding Dr. Keller, and finished with some thoughts focused on Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 2:10.
A bit of a frustrating program today. Started out with an update on Dr. Lee Carter and his refusal to even respond to my e-mails, let alone deal with his prejudice against believing Christians, and his unwillingness to acknowledge how wrong it is to tell Christian students in class that their parents “lied” to them. Then I took a long
We had an important discussion of the recent study showing that “Protestants” are now less than 50% of the US population, and I discussed how the “Nones” are now 20%, and what this means for evangelism and apologetics. Then we went back to Paul Williams’ comments, almost finishing off his opening statement.
Took the hour to look at the subject of false faith, apostasy, etc., today on the program in light of the Joshua Harris situation. Not a pleasant topic, but one found right in the fabric of Scripture, and hence one that must be understood. Here is the YouTube link: Live Video Stream The Dividing Line is on YouTube video. Our
