Various Articles and Open Phones on the Dividing Line

Started off with various articles that I’ve collected, one by a Roman Catholic taking cheap shots at me, others on the continuing degradation of our society and the rise of totalitarianism.  Then we opened up the phones and took calls on such subjects as the regulative principle of worship (actually got into the exclusive psalmody and instruments in worship debate a bit), theological liberalism, Islam and Paradise, and OT sacrifices.  Enjoy!

Western Rush to Moral Anarchy and Paul Williams at Speaker’s Corner

Pretty well split the program in half, the first being on developments in the ongoing rush to rid Western culture of the last vestiges of civilization and morality, and the second focusing upon Muslim apologist Paul Williams and his comments at Speaker’s Corner in London.  Would love to challenge Williams to defend his statements in public debate on May 13th in London!

Twitter Questions, The Boss, The Pope, and More Ethnic Gnosticism

Started off today with a couple of Twitter questions (including one on Eastern Orthodoxy),  then covered Springsteen’s view of transgender warriors as “freedom fighters,” the Pope’s “studied ambiguity” in his new statement, and toward the end of the hour I responded to BlackCalvinist’s piece accusing me of…well, all sorts of things, actually.

Enns, Mouw, and the Foundation of Scripture

Covered a wide range of themes but tried, anyway, to connect them together.  Will let you judge if I succeeded!  Discussed a little bit of Peter Enns’ new book, noted Dr. Mouw’s continued white-washing of Mormonism, etc.  Toward the end started looking at some Muslim issues as well.

The Popes, Rachel Held Evans, Desiring God, Nabeel Qureshi on Unbelievable Mega Show

Put together a full mega sized DL today, starting off with the obvious differences between the two currently living Popes and then doing nearly 70 minutes on a Rachel Held Evans article and a few articles that have appeared recently on the Desiring God website (John Piper’s ministry), but then throwing in another half an hour on a recent Unbelievable webcast featuring Nabeel Qureshi and Joseph Cummings on the topic of whether Christians and Muslims worship the same God.  Tough topics, to be sure, but hopefully helpful to all!
