Reviewing Recent Interactions on Line, then Back to Erasmus and the Text

Went over various interactions with folks regarding social justice and the like, including some Anthony Bradley quotes, at the top of the program (actually had a few comments on developments in Mormonism at the very start), and then switched back to Erasmus and the book of Revelation, then engaging with arguments/accusations made from the textual traditionalists.  Finished up watching a brief video of an encounter between Steven Anderson and some brothers in a park in Tempe.  100 minutes!

Future Predictions, Social Issues, Refuting Bradly Mason, Erasmus, and Steven Anderson Chapter 3

Caught up with a lot of recent developments in the decline of the West and then started looking at some material from Christian social justice advocates, including a tweet from Beth Moore, and then an article from Bradly Mason.  Then we switched gears to the textual issue, looking at Erasmus’ work on the book of Revelation and the reality that all texts, TR included, were derived through textual critical means.  Finally we started listening to and responding to the third installment of Steven Anderson’s review of The King James Only Controversy.  1:40 in length!

Radio Free Geneva: NIFB Arguments Reviewed, the Ecclesiastical Text Movement Examined

Did a 100 minute Radio Free Geneva today, looking at the arguments from an NIFB pastor in the Philippines first, and then going into a much more in-depth discussion on the issue of the text of the New Testament in response to the ever present Traditionalists in the Reformed camp.  Important stuff to consider!  Also included a debate invitation/challenge for Dr. Jeff Riddle and Robert Truelove for October of this year.

Russell Moore’s Statement, Steven Anderson on KJVOC Chapter 2

Spent most of our time today examining Dr. Russell Moore’s statement on the Houston Chronicle article, and specifically what he identified as “wrongheaded” and “dangerous” ideas. This required us to revisit Rome’s doctrine of the priesthood and related issues.  Then we responded to Steven Anderson’s second video wherein he reviews the second chapter of The King James Only Controversy.  75 minutes.

The Color of Compromise, Steven Anderson Continued, Open Phones

Took time to make some comments on Jemar Tisby’s new book, The Color of Compromise.  Please note I forgot to read through a key paragraph initially, so after the open phones segment I read that paragraph and made some comments thereon (right at the end of the show).  Then we finished up the relevant portions of Steven Anderson’s first video, and then opened the phones, covering a wide variety of topics from textual criticism to theology and more.  Always find the calls challenging!
