City Council Video, Ekemini Uwan and Wicked Whiteness, Radio Free Geneva on Leighton Flowers

Started off with my 3 minute presentation to the Phoenix City Council from last Wednesday, then moved into a pretty full analysis of Ekemini Uwan’s comments at the Sparrow Conference focused on the “wickedness of whiteness.”  Looked a lot at the critical theory foundation to her views.  Then we fired up the Radio Free Geneva theme and looked at a portion of Leighton Flowers’ comments on a recent Unbelievable webcast on the topic of “meticulous providence.”  Nearly two hours worth today!

Upcoming Debates, Tom Buck and Sam Allberry, Steven Anderson and Textual Traditionalism

Started off with some exciting news about possible upcoming major debates and pointing folks to the Travel Fund as the most important way of helping us to make this happen.  Then we looked at the fall out from the posting of the four-part series of articles by Pastor Tom Buck interacting with materials found on the Living Out website before turning back to textual issues in finishing up our response to Steven Anderson’s video on chapter three of the King James Only Controversy.  Next week we only have one program at an unusual time: noon EDT on Wednesday!  Join us then!

Microphone Testing, Living Out, Traditional Textism and the Longer Ending of Mark

Started off with technical issues, to be honest (tried a new microphone that didn’t work out well, yet, anyway), and then eventually discussed Tom Buck’s currently running series of articles on Living Out. Then moved to the Traditional Text position (TR) finishing up with a look at the endings of Mark.  We will be back on Thursday of this week.  Don’t forget the South Texas Bible Conference this weekend, and then next weekend the Sola Scriptura conference in Morgan Hill, CA (see the banner ads up above).  Looking forward to seeing our friends!

In Defense of Sound Guys, Oppression and Exegesis, a Bit on Psalm 12 and the Text

Regular length show today (60 minutes!) with some material at the start on the difficult life of the church sound guy (thanks to the Babylon Bee).  Then we talked about racialism, oppression, and the interpretation of Scripture (with shout outs to Cross Politic and others), and finished up with a few verses people use to try to make certain points about the preservation of the text.  Next program is scheduled for Wednesday from North Las Vegas, Nevada with Summer Jaeger of Sheologians—and the grandkids!

A Steve Hays Face-Plant, Closer Look at Texts like 1 John 3:1, A Tad of Steven Anderson, Four Phone Calls

Looked at a few topics to start out, including a short hit piece from Steve Hays that missed the mark by a mile.  Then we did a little more TC reasoning looking at another claim from the TT’s that doing modern textual criticism is unbiblical, and then moved on to a few more quotes from Steven Anderson in response to my book.  Then we started taking calls and covered such topics as theodicy, particular redemption, and can the Pope receive new revelations.
