In the first half hour we discussed Sean Penn’s anti-Christian diatribe where he pontificates that Christians should be ashamed of our faith, and then in the second half we discussed apologetic methodologies, contrasting a soundly biblical approach with that of evidentialism.
Continued the discussion and review of Dave Hunt’s “What Love Is This?”Played an audio clip of Tim Staples and showed the similarities between their views of God’s sovereignty. Replying to Dave Hunt regarding Charles Spurgeon and Universal Atonement.
Mainly just a discussion of issues raised by Dr. Patterson in the continuing review of that material, but also a discussion of how a woman stole our outgoing mail pile this morning, in broad daylight! Just unreal.
A debate between Dr. James White and George Bryson on the subject of Calvinism.
Just had to make note of the monumental Alabama Supreme Court decision and the issue of “By What Standard” that simply cannot be avoided. Then we looked at some further issues I had forgotten to get to on the last program about claims Trent Horn made and how all of this is so vitally relevant to the direction Roman Catholic
Spoke about Once Saved Always Saved and Dan Corner’s opposition to it. Talked about Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” movie and how it impacts post-modern people, including atheists and Roman Catholics. Discusses how to strengthen theological seminaries. Open calls about George Bryson, James’ English accent, Pentecostalism, and God’s decree.
Dr. White discussed recent upcoming trips to Germany and South Africa; Timothy George’s continued ecumenical attitude toward Roman Catholicism by a recent article in Christianity Today about Pope Francis.
