A New Journal – Call for Articles

Do you or someone you know (sounds like a commercial) have a special interest in the following area: cults, the occult, new religious movement, world religions, and general apologetics? If so please touch base with me. I am working on putting together a journal titled Christianity And…A Countercult and Apologetics Journal. In conjunction with the Journal I am hoping to do an online Colloquium with few of the authors.

I am currently waiting for confirmations from a few men for editorial work, and I am looking for articles to publish. I hope the Journal will be ready by January 2018 (perhaps a bit sooner), so there is plenty of time to research, write, and rewrite. If you have access to seminaries where men are writing papers on these topics, perhaps you can pass along the word.

Currently we have only FB page, please make sure you like the page, and pass the link around: https://www.facebook.com/Christianity-And-A-Countercult-and-Apologetics-Journal-252157268500719/.

KJVO Discussion, the Pope Escapes His Handlers Again, Debate Tomorrow, the Trinitarian Controversy

Covered a WIDE range of topics today.  Started off expressing our deep condolences to Tony Bartolucci and his family in the death of his daughter Giana.  Then we discussed the debate we will be doing tomorrow at 4pm with representatives of the Hebrew Israelite movement.  Moved from there to a discussion of Jeremiah 34:16 and Romans 13:9 and King James Onlyism.  Then we discussed the Pope escaping his handlers again and proclaiming live-in cohabitations valid marriages, and finally spent a good half an hour or more on the “Eternal Functional Subordination” controversy, spending some time reading from Reymond’s Systematic Theology as well.  A wide variety of topics, to be sure!

I mentioned some links I was going to include to K. Scott Oliphint’s discussions of the assets of the Son.  They are found here and here.

More on Simple Truthfulness and Consistency, Steve Hays Melts Down, Quick Review of Oneness Advocate Steve Ritchie

Went over some developments in the Orlando situation and once again had to address the insanity of asserting that there is only one monolithic Islam and that everything done in the world by anyone who yells “Allahu Akbar!” is to be held to the account of every single Muslim on the planet.  Then we noted the melt-down of Steve Hays who now says I am a “Muslim partisan,” and at the end of the program reviewed some comments by Oneness advocate Steven Ritchie.

Enns, Mouw, and the Foundation of Scripture

Covered a wide range of themes but tried, anyway, to connect them together.  Will let you judge if I succeeded!  Discussed a little bit of Peter Enns’ new book, noted Dr. Mouw’s continued white-washing of Mormonism, etc.  Toward the end started looking at some Muslim issues as well.

Presuppositionalism/Evidentialism, and then Apologetically Useful Verses

Reviewed comments by Dr. Peter J. Williams on the subject of evidentialism and presuppositionalism, and then moved to a review of key verses you might want to be familiar with in sharing with various groups, including Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals, Secular Humanists, “Gay” Affirming “Christians,” and finally…with our dear beloved Arminian friends.  Hope it is useful!
