What Beautiful Sound Does God Truly Desire?
05/25/2009 - Alan Kurschner
"Last week I remembered the words which Barack Hussein Obama made while still on the campaign trail. He said that one of the most melodious and beautiful sounds in the world is the Islamic call to prayer, which by the way rings forth from the minarets here six times a day. Last Tuesday as the Mullah was shouting out his statement that 'there is no God but Allah', for the 9:00 pm call to prayer, a Sunni Muslim man was on his knees in my home confessing to God his sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Yes [he] received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. That is a beautiful and melodious sound as is the song of the angels rejoicing over this sinner that came to repentance."Please keep this missionary to the Muslims in your prayers.

How to Lose a War
05/14/2009 - James White
The only weapon that can win the war against a constantly advancing and militaristic Islam is the Holy Spirit of God applying the gospel of Christ to the hearts of Muslims and bringing them into a true and full relationship with God through Jesus. A dying secularist West may have all every kind of technology at its disposal, but it lacks the heart to survive. Secularism breeds a culture of death, and it sucks the spirit and life out of mankind, reducing him to a mere animal, robbing him of purpose and life. It cannot survive against an advancing, militant Islam. So in light of this observation, it is truly a sign of God's judgment on the decadent West to read this story. The May 5th story from Reuters reports,
U.S. military says Afghan bibles have been destroyedWell, it surely hasn't been their intention to save the lives of tens of thousands of Christians suffering and dying in Iraq, either (Matthew 18:6).
KABUL (Reuters) - Bibles in Afghan languages sent to a U.S. soldier at a base in Afghanistan were confiscated and destroyed to ensure that troops did not breach regulations which forbid proselytizing, a military spokeswoman said.
The U.S. military has denied its soldiers tried to convert Afghans to Christianity, after Qatar-based Al Jazeera television showed soldiers at a bible class on a base with a stack of bibles translated into the local Pashto and Dari languages.
U.S. Central Command's General Order Number 1 forbids troops on active duty -- including all those based in Iraq and Afghanistan -- from trying to convert people to another religion.
"I can now confirm that the Bibles shown on Al Jazeera's clip were, in fact, collected by the chaplains and later destroyed. They were never distributed," spokeswoman Major Jennifer Willis said at Bagram air base, north of Kabul.

Military officials have said the bibles were sent through private mail to an evangelical Christian soldier by his church back home. The soldier brought them to the bible study class where they were filmed.
Trying to convert Muslims to another faith is a crime in Afghanistan. An Afghan man who converted to Christianity was sentenced to death for apostasy in 2006 but was allowed to leave the country after an international uproar.
"It certainly is, from the United States military's perspective, not our position to ever push any specific kind of religion, period," chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen told a Pentagon briefing Monday.
Here is the video that started it all:
The tribes in Afghanistan have been warring for literally thousands of years. They will continue to until Christ returns. It is foolishness, beyond measure, to think that anyone can bring a political solution to such lands. The political divisions are merely the symptom of the deeper source of division, which is religious. Secularists in the West cannot wrap their minds around the union of religion and state that is part and parcel of Sharia. It defies their understanding.
Consider the gross hypocrisy of what took place in Afghanistan, and the utter dhimmitude (submission to Islam by non-Muslims) it entails. Can you imagine the United States military burning Qur'ans so as to not offend Christians? What if someone had filmed Muslim soldiers holding a Qur'an study? Would anyone have gone ballistic? These soldiers are risking their lives in a nation where if you dare to choose to follow Christ and leave the Islamic religion you will be killed. And what do Westerners do? Oh, don't offend! Do they not realize that it is just this kind of dhimmitude that the Muslims recognize is the best sign of the weakness and lack of resolve of those they fight against?
Yes, I am fully aware of the "political realities" of the situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, etc. But as long as people keep looking to politics to bring peace, there will, of course, be no peace. Shame on anyone who was involved in the destruction of the Christian Scriptures. Where is the outcry? There would be riots in major cities all across the world if this had happened to the Muslim Scriptures. But you see, folks know Christians won't kill anyone over the desecration of their Scriptures. And so it goes on.

Stop Preaching the Gospel!
05/08/2009 - James White
The greatest weapon against radical Islam is the gospel of peace. Sad, isn't it, that the Taliban thinks the Pope is the "most important personality in the Christian world"? [source]Kabul, 7 May (AKI) - The Taliban on Thursday threatened "harsh reprisals" if Pope Benedict XVI does not immediately intervene to stop Christians proselytising in Afghanistan. In a message posted on their official website, the Taliban made the threat against the pope and Christians for spreading their faith.
The message followed video footage aired on Arabic satellite TV channel Al-Jazeera earlier this week apparently showing Christian soldiers proselytising outside the Afghan capital, Kabul, and handing out copies of the bible in Pashtun.
"We are sending out a message to the most important personality in the Christian world - Pope Benedict XVI," read the message.
"If he does not immediately stop these stupid and irresponsible acts of proselytism by the crusaders, our reprisals and that of the Afghan people will be very harsh.
"Afghans are offended by this," the message said.
The message claimed that dozens of Christian missionaries are proselytising in Afghanistan under the guise of humanitarian non-governmental organisations.
It also said these groups are collaborating directly with American and other foreign troops in Afghanistan.
"They are taking advantage of the war and of needy Afghans, who are driven towards the religious deviance of these groups," it said.
The message cited as examples the "apostate" Abdel Rahman who converted to Christianity and gained asylum in Italy and a group of 23 South Korean missionaries kidnapped by the Taliban in July 2007.
It called on Afghans, especially religious leaders and intellectuals, to "repel the attacks on their faith which prolong the crusader war started by (former US president George W.) Bush".
Religious leaders and mujahadeen (holy warriors) must keep tabs on the movements of "enemies of Islam" and crusader occupiers" and prevent them from spreading "the propaganda of other religions in the land of Islam," the message said.
"All the supporters of (Afghan president) Hamid Karzai's regime, especially the courts the justice and Islamic affairs ministries must apologise and condemn these crusader acts.
"They must no longer allow them to take up arms against us, thus redeeming themselves before Allah," the message concluded.
Violence in Afghanistan in the past year has reached its highest level since the Taliban was overthrown in 2001, despite increasing numbers of American and other foreign troops.
Trying to convert Muslims to any other faith is a crime in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan has seen bloody demonstrations in recent years after cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad were published in Denmark and after allegations emerged that US troops in Guantanamo Bay mistreated the Koran.
