A number of years ago I remember reading about the Anglican priest who professed to be an atheist—and was allowed to continue to be an Anglican priest. So, reading a current story about an Anglican priest who converts to Hinduism and takes the name Ananda and who sacrifices to an elephant idol and yet who, it seems, will be allowed to continue on as an Anglican priest, isn’t as shocking as it would seem.
