Today on the DL I took a call at the start and then moved into providing a response to the opening statement of Sheikh Awal from a debate from 2009.
Starting at 11am we will go for two solid hours so we can finish off our review of James McCarthy’s sermon (looking at how he attempts to deal with John 6) and then we will launch into a review of Dr. Emir Caner’s sermon from September 18, 2011 at the Monclova Road Baptist Church in Ohio. So join us tomorrow
In the first half hour we discussed Sean Penn’s anti-Christian diatribe where he pontificates that Christians should be ashamed of our faith, and then in the second half we discussed apologetic methodologies, contrasting a soundly biblical approach with that of evidentialism.
Dr. White shares and responds to variety of negative feedback over various aspects of his apologetics work, including Roman Catholicism and White’s “printer manual” analogy, as well as the LDS church. A caller asks about the state of Mormon “research” concerning archeology and the book of Mormon

I continued my review of the Slick/Sungenis discussion, today discussing issues relating to sola scriptura and textual critical issues. We will continue with a discussion of tradition and Scripture on the next DL, which will be Monday afternoon at 4pm.
I began a multi-part, full response to Dr. David Gushee’s presentation at the Reformation Project conference back in 2014 on today’s 90 minute long program. Gushee has taken the position of “lead ally” and scholar in support of the “gay Christian” movement, asserting that the church is guilty of hurting her “sexual minorities.” It is important to understand the arguments
On the program today we started off with a brief report on the events this weekend up at Reformation Montana and the nature of the debate/discussion with Justin Lee (the audio should be available today or tomorrow in our online store). Then I discussed the comments of someone who uses the moniker “Descriptive Grace” who, though he has clearly not
