Today we continued our examination of Jimmy Akin’s comments on BAM, but first I commented briefly on Ray’s “response” on his blog, and on Akin’s comments to a Mormon on CA Live yesterday.

I would like to respond to Dr. Stauffer’s incredible attempt to deal with the translation of Titus 2:13 by the KJV noted earlier on the DL on Thursday. This kind of argumentation reminds me a great deal of Thomas Holland’s attempt to defend the KJV by saying Romans 9:5 is not a proof text for the deity of Christ. Anything

The entire program today was a review of comments made by Marcus Borg and NT Wright specifically about issues such as historicity, worldviews, Q, and the like. Here’s the program.

For the first half hour we played Hank Hanegraaff’s comments in which he said I twist people’s words to make them say the opposite of what they actually intended, and responded.  In the second we read through part of Jonathan Merritt’s defense of Jen Hatmaker and once again wrestled with the issues that compromising Evangelicalism presents to us today.
