Today on the Dividing Line we concluded the three-part series in response to Jack Graham’s anti-Calvinism sermon, and then took calls. Here’s the program.

Tackled the USA Today article basically telling us all to stop talking about God’s law and what is right and wrong, answered an e-mail about how to handle emotional responses to God’s sovereignty in salvation, and finished off listening to a series of statements by John Hick, philosopher of religion (and opponent to revelational Christianity).

Started out with some more comments on gospel presentations, focusing on the fact that we live in a context where pandering to the humanism of our age is one of the primary reasons we have entire churches that are, to put it bluntly, unregenerate in their membership. I contrasted exhorting men and women, boys and girls, to plead for mercy

Since this program was on the same day as the memorial service for an elder at Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church named Dave Crawford, James White soberly discusses the wisdom of knowing the shortness of life, and God’s plan for allowing suffering and grieving in order to minister to others.
