Quick G3 Report, the NWT, then Open Phones on Lots of Topics

Talked a bit about our time at G3, then up in NY at New Hyde Park Baptist Church, talked a little about the New World Translation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and then started on calls, with discussions of 2 Cor. 5:21 as well as the eternal generation of the Son taking up most of the time.

Commentary on Apologetics from a Review of Portions of the Dillahunty/Scrivener Dialogue

Used the comments made by Matt Dillahunty and Glen Scrivener on the Unbelievable program as a platform for a discussion of apologetic methodology and application today on the program, going just under 90 minutes. This included definitions of presuppositionalism as well as a short discussion of slavery in the Bible as well. Last program till next week due to the G3 Conference in Atlanta. See you all there!

Answering Marcus Rogers’ Questions, 2 Thess. 2:15 and Jay Dyer

Back to live streaming today (yay!). Covered, very quickly, the questions asked by Marcus Rogers in one of those “I’m going to prop my phone up on my dashboard in a parking lot” type videos regarding the Trinity. I was named specifically, so I responded specifically, though briefly. Then we looked at 2 Thess. 2:15 as quoted by Jay Dyer in his “10 Reasons” video we started responding to last week.

Francis Chan and Church History, Leighton Flowers and Romans 3

Nearly two hours on the program today (not live streamed due to our computer issues), first hour in response and review of the Francis Chan clip that surfaced yesterday about the Supper and church history, the second hour in response to Leighton Flowers and Romans 3.

Jumbo Edition of the Dividing Line Despite Technical Challenges

Started off with some exciting news about the upcoming Rome/Israel/Athens/Ephesus cruise in September (see the previous article here on the blog). Then we looked briefly at Jemar Tisby’s comment about James Cone before looking at a very, very odd piece from Facebook identifying Yahweh as Satan (yes, Marcion still prowls the earth). Then we got into the heart of the program by looking at a recent video by Jay Dyer on why he is no longer a Protestant. I challenged the Reformed in the audience to really know what they believe so that they can recognize these kinds of arguments. Lots of reading recommendations provided as well. Get a deep seat in the saddle for this one!
