Alpha and Omega Ministries is a Christian apologetics organization based in Phoenix, Arizona. James White, director, is a professor, having taught Greek, Systematic Theology, and various topics in the field of apologetics for numerous schools.
This is the first part of a very brief survey of the Qur’an. In this series, I intend to provide a framework within which the Christian can study the Islamic scriptures and begin formulating his or her apologetic. In this first part, I will quickly outline the basic structure of the book. Subsequent parts will deal with how the Qur’an
Here is a brief clip from my encounter with Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah at Duke University last evening. The evening was very short (less than two hours), but it may well be a preview of things to come, as Dr. Shah wants to do more in-depth debates in the future! I am excited about what 2009 will bring.
Here is the video from the Unbelievable Radio program with Justin Brierley on the Premier Radio Network in the UK (http://www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable). Abdullah al-Andalusi (Abdullah from London, as I referred to him before, or, Mujtahid2006, by his YouTube moniker) and I did the program, Justin Brierley hosted. You can see my little video camera down in the bottom of the screen
Here is a clip from the Monday debate where I gave strong evidence of the inconsistency of Shabir Ally in his constant dependence upon the most radical, left-wing “Christian” scholarship for all of his assertions regarding the New Testament. He does not adopt the same scholarship when it comes to the Qur’an, of course, and it is this use of

Though I did not get much video (other than most of Sami’s opening statement), I do have the audio of Thursday’s debate, so, I here provide the two closing statements with the nice picture the Brazier’s provided me with their uber-super-duper digital camera. I think these statements exemplify the contrast of the entire debate.

Anti-Christian violence spills into Kenya as Somali Muslims attack in Nairobi. NAIROBI, Kenya, October 27 (Compass Direct News) – Among at least 24 aid workers killed in Somalia this year was one who was beheaded last month specifically for converting from Islam to Christianity, among other charges, according to an eyewitness. Muslim extremists from the al Shabab group fighting the
The hatred of God’s people continues unabated in Iran where the zealous persecuters of Christ’s followers are getting close to final governmental approval of the death penalty for any male who converts from Islam (mere life imprisonment for women). Read about it here. Once again, it needs to be repeated that this kind of action is perfectly in line with
Recently some Muslims attempted to deflect my criticisms through alleging inconsistency on my part. Here is my response, in which I seek to turn their attack for their own good. I address the issue of Ibn Masud, his version of the Qur’an, and whether he stood firm in his convictions or not.
Very early this morning I happened to get up. I wandered into the kitchen to get a drink, and ran my finger over the touchpad of my Mac to check my mail. One of the e-mails was from Sami Zaatari, a Palestinian Muslim living in London. Mr. Zaatari was in the LA area a few weeks ago, and presented Islamic
Arabic Christian Perspective has posted an open challenge to Zakir Naik, Jamal Badawi, and Shabir Ally, to debate myself, David Wood, and Sam Shamoun. You can read about the open challenge here. I know I would very much like to engage Shabir Ally in debate on an Islamic topic, as I have twice defended the Christian faith against him. I
Today, many Islamic apologists like to claim that the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is corrupt. They feel the need to claim this, because they are aware of the fact that the Bible is inconsistent with Islam. There is a problem for their position: it is not the position of their prophet, assuming that Surah 62:5 is itself not
Here is my first rebuttal from Saturday night’s debate with Osama Abdullah. The debate was supposed to be on the reliability of the New Testament, but Osama decided to do the “scatter gun” thing, raising a dozen different topics or more, throwing out everything he could think of, all the while completely ignoring my presentation and the material I presented.
I engaged in two debates today in Bellflower, California. I have never done two debates in one day before, so that was quite the interesting experience. David Wood likewise debated today. Just a quick clip of the second rebuttal I offered in the first debate on the crucifixion against Osama Abdullah.
I was noticing news reports concerning the rise in violence against Ahmadi Muslims in the news this morning. Evidently, an Islamic scholar, Dr. Aamer Liaqat Hussain, during a television program commemorating the 1974 act by Pakistan’s parliament that declared Ahmadis “non-Muslims,” argued that the murder of Ahmadis is a “religious duty.” This sparked violence and murder, including the shooting of
