Our IRC chat channel began as an apologetic outgrowth from the old Undernet #Charis channel in 1996. Very few IRC channels have existed for nearly a quarter of a century, that’s for sure! Twenty three years is a long time, and over that time we have developed a lot of great friendships. But let’s face it, the technology is now massively dated and the number of alternative methods of communication that are significantly more mobile and effective have been developed.
So as of August 31, 2019, we will be closing down the network, (calvin.genevairc.net), and #prosapologian. We want to give folks time to make connections, exchange information, etc., so that the fellowship will not have to end, but will just have to move to other venues.
I would like to thank those who have contributed over the years. We had a great run! We will see you all on the net, or if not, in glory!
