First half an hour or so we talked about Covid and passports and freedoms and the like, then we moved into looking at Trent Horn’s response to a small portion of our discussion of his 2019 Catholic Answers talk on Protestant “distortions” of church history, focusing upon the idea of “the argument from silence.” Almost an hour and 45 minutes
Went almost two hours today but it’s an important program. Started off responding to William Samuel Bruce’s comments about me being a part of the “New Calvinism.” Then we moved into a response to James Fox Higgins on the subject of sola scriptura, its definition and defense (really important). Then following that theme we want back to this video featuring
First half hour was on a variety of topics, including upcoming trips (and an invitation for you to send your church’s contact information to roadtrip@aomin.org) and a little on Thomas Aquinas. But then we went into the historical argumentation regarding the perpetual virginity of Mary as it was presented in this video demonstrating that, in essence, anything can be proven
Had to use the mobile studio today even though I am not yet on the road and…didn’t really work out. Had to record it. Mainly a lengthy response to Joshua T. Charles on key and important issues relating to Roman Catholicism, claims of authority, canonicity, etc.
