Yeah, well, there you go! And another program tomorrow! Stuff started piling up, so, we went long. Started off with Cambridge, MA legalizing polyamory, discussed what is motivating this degradation of the entire culture, discussed Rome’s refusal to bless same-sex marriages, and looked at bit at the centrality of a Christian worldview. Then transitioned into Michael Lofton’s opening statement in
Dutch society died in the realm of morality quite some time ago. The bloated corpse, however, hangs around. Hat tip Shamgar and crewbear. Oh, by the way, do their arguments sound hauntingly familiar? Like the arguments used by the homosexuals only a few years ago? Hmmmm.
Covered a wide variety of things yet again on the program today, so a little something for everyone. Started off with the new Roman Catholic apologetics book against Scripture titled, “The Obscurity of Scripture,” and talked a bit about the obscurity not of Scripture, but of Rome itself. We also spent some time reading through Schaff’s discussion of Pope Honorius.
Reflected on the shelling of the Irpin Biblical Seminary as I taught within its walls a number of times, so seeing it on fire from Russian shelling was saddening indeed. Then we discussed the current issues relating the to Culture of Death and its promotion of homosexuality, transgenderism, etc.

Dr. Jerry Vines preached on John 3:16 at his own conference on the same topic. At one point it seems he attempted to respond to the common objection to his views by asserting that pas ho pisteuwn (πᾶς ὁ πιστεύων) means more than “everyone believing.” Here is an examination and response.

The Gobbler (don’t ask, we won’t tell) pointed out to me today the ironic words of J. Gresham Machen in his notes on Galatians…ironic because they appear under the subtitle “Plain Meaning” as I recall. Please don’t ask me where Machen absorbed these radical Anabaptistic, post-modern, discrete, separated from the space-time continuum propositions, but it is truly tragic, isn’t it?
