Going almost a full two hours today was pretty easy, given how much I needed to catch up on! Did nearly a full hour on Matthew Vines’ comments about me from a recent Google video, then played a clip from NT Wright on predestination and election, then I addressed my Muslim friends, and finished up going back to the issue
MuslimByChoice, a channel on YouTube, often attempts to respond to my materials. Unfortunately, he (they?) have provided far too many examples of bad argumentation, poor research, and simply erroneous reasoning. Here is an attempt to respond to only a tiny portion of my opening remarks from last week in Toronto.
Another clip from the London debates of 2008 (the video of which just arrived). Again, we are hoping to get the masters so we can fix the image sizing, annoying graphic, etc. But, the information is still there. Here is the “cross-fire” round (that’s what you do when you can’t really trust that cross-examination will be done properly).
So Chocolate Knox survived, and that’s really all you need to know. Seriously, had a great time having the guys from CrossPolitic on the show today, we chatted about Matt Walsh, Rome’s gospel, and a bunch of other stuff. Enjoy! It needs to be understood (as evidently it is not by those citing him) that Ehrman is not foolish enough to try to argue that the original reading of John 20:28 is anything other than what we have in our texts today,
Ran through some quick discussions of a few topics in the first half hour, and then took calls in the second. Covered a few Francis the Marxist stories, and then looked briefly at Ken Wilson’s anti-Calvinist polemic (dressed up as a work of history), The Foundation of Augustinian-Calvinism. Then pointed folks to a new resource for Qur’an studies, Fadel Soliman’s Bridges’ Translation
I was just watching a very disturbing video, taken by Muslims themselves, of a clash with police in London on January 3rd, 2009. Since the Muslims were using profanity (and yelling “Allahu Akhbar” at the same time), I will not post the video, but here is the current link. I doubt it will be up long. In any case, the
