I will admit, I have not taken a lot of the “cult of personality” stuff very seriously over the past number of years, mainly because I am a member of a small church, in a group of churches that really tends to shy away from that kind of thing, at least as it appears in the broader spectrum of evangelicalism.
Glad to be home, though I had a great time at the Psalm 119 conference with Todd Friel, Phil Johnson and all the folks up there in the frozen North (which was 20 degrees warmer on Saturday than it was in Phoenix, if you can believe that). Got back in the saddle today, have so far crunched out 100k on
Well, here we go! Debate last night, conference today, headed to sea tomorrow. Great group of folks headed to sea for seven days including numerous presentations on justification (along with other things). Steve Camp will be singing, Phil Johnson and David King will be speaking (I will as well, of course). I’ll report on the debate on the Dividing Line
Tom Chantry has offered another insightful commentary on the Ergun Caner Scandal/Evangelical Cover-Up here. He concludes: I suggest this. Just a few things, since I just flew home and have way too much to do to try to dig out from underneath all that
Ol’ has dug up another conspiracy! While safely ensconced in his super-secret hideout in the wilds of Nova Scotia, he discovered that if you look for the new debate book with Dave Hunt, due out next month, you will find that it is a co-authored work, with my name, in the US and, of all places, Japan. However, if
A sad day for truth as Christianity Today posts its “story” on the Ergun Caner situation. Very little of the actual documentation (court documents, video tapes, etc.) are discussed. The title makes it look like “bloggers” are just out to cause trouble, not that there are documented, serious issues relating to Caner’s myth-making. The worst part is the utter-disconnect in
