I just received my copy of the July, 2005 issue of the Reformed Baptist Theological Review (www.rbtr.org). I have a new article in this issue titled “Textual Criticism and the Ministry of Preaching” (3-26). Not too late to subscribe!
Started off with a fairly quick review of this past week’s ministry in Florida, including comments on the debates with Imam Muhammad Musri and Dr. Gregg Strawbridge. Then we transitioned (about 22 minutes in) to a Radio Free Geneva! Spent a lot of time in the text of Scripture dealing with federal headship, walking through especially Romans 5:12-19, and then,
Discussed a little about the arrest of Rodney Howard Browne, looked at NT Wright’s sad article in Time.com, and then dove into the important historical issues related to the claims of Ken Wilson from his 2018 interview with Leighton Flowers. Will be back tomorrow again!
Covered a range of items today but mainly looked at comments from the Provisionists on the nature of grace, and then looked at a defense of the new “Reformed Thomism” as well. Went nearly 80 minutes.
The title should have warned me, “This article ought to make us yearn for unity…we are not as separated as some would have us be.” Yeah, that non-perfecting, repetitive sacrifice of the Mass is just real close to the Reformed doctrine of atonement. Went for a jumbo edition today in the big studio with the big board! Commented briefly about the Roman Catholic penitential procession video that made the rounds a few days ago, then we looked at Stephen Wolfe’s lengthy tweet about the term “worldview” and how we would be better off abandoning it.
