Thanks for letting us have a little fun with making this announcement. It’s a big one, so we thought it would be neat to get some speculation going. As you know, we announced that John Dominic Crossan will be my debate opponent in Seattle on the 27th of August as part of our Second National Conference. Here are the details.

Started off with a fuller discussion of the Calvin/Servetus affair, and then took a call from England on “probability arguments” in reference to the existence of God.

Covered two topics mainly today, with two brief calls interspersed. First played Adam’s call to Steve Gregg. Adam is a Catholic Answers forums user, and, true to form, repeated the ever-growing, and still utterly inane “38,000 Denominations” falsehood within the first fifteen seconds or so. Then we took some calls, and moved on to Adam Harwood’s presentation at the John

Yup, you guessed it, continued with the textual criticism seminar. Going to try to start wrapping things up on Tuesday, hopefully taking your calls on textual issues on Thursday. We will see. Started today’s program with a clip from ol’ Texe Marrs, which will appear on the blog soon. 

Another potpourri of topics today, with calls on “repentance” in the Old Testament, dealing with anti-Trinitarian “Messianic Judaism,” and a call on explaining the wrath of God to our modern culture. Snuck a few minutes of the second Slick/Sungenis conversation as well.

I started off today’s program with a brief recap of the debate from Newberg, and Dan Barker’s continued damage control campaign.
