We continued the discussion of the 1993 sola scriptura debate with Patrick Madrid on the program yesterday. The last ten minutes or so we took a call from Florida on the subject of “prophet” Joel Hemphill, his attacks upon the deity of Christ, and his willingness to “minister in music” in Trinitarian churches.

Ecumenical hysteria continues today on the DL as we work through the Beckwith/George dialogue from Wheaton. I will do my best to do a live DL from Newberg, Oregon on Thursday afternoon at the regular time. Don’t forget the live webcast of the debate with Dan Barker at 10am Saturday (PDT)!

In this episode, James has a dialog with a Mormon about Calvinism. James covers many scriptures and refutes many misconceptions in this dialogue.

We got our phone system repaired and installed! Yeah! So, started off with a quick review of a recent debate on annihilationism, then took calls. The first two were on the same subject, so we covered a lot of ground on the topic today. The last call was on dealing with Jehovah’s Witnesses, especially in reference to Colossians 1:15.

After a brief call from a Oneness Pentecostal who seems to have some self-control/anger issues, I played the audio from a YouTube video of Muslim speaker Khalid Yasin as he leads a group of people through the shahada, the confession that makes one a Muslim. A very informative program!
