Started with a heart-breaking article about a blind Muslim boy killed by his mullah for not memorizing the Qur’an in Pakistan, followed by an article on the simple reality that Canada is not a friendly place for Christians anymore. Then we listened to a response by Tim Staples, newly demoted from “one of the foremost Bible scholars in the Church”
Spent a little time on some comments made in an interview between Sam Harris and Bart Ehrman at the beginning of the program (after just a few minutes noting Jim Wallis’ extolling of James Cone) and then moved to calls. In response to Dr. James White’s comments on whether those in the Roman commmunion and in the LDS church are saved, Paul Owen responded: Mormons do NOT deny that Jesus is the God-man who died for our sins and rose again. They affirm all those points explicitly. And I see no reason to deny that many devoted followers of Christ

First hour we played material relevant to apologetic methodology as William Lane Craig continues his very interesting, if somewhat confusing, interaction with the debate Sye did on the radio. But we only got halfway through that, as I wanted to review some comments by Karlo Broussard on catholic.com attempting (badly) to parallel atheism with Protestantism (specifically, a belief in sola scriptura).
