No DL This Afternoon

Well, we have the new computer, the new camera, the new book shelf, the new monitor, the new microphones…so we celebrated by going long and deep today!  Finished the Ehrman/Gathercole exchange, then finished the Craig/Helm exchange as well!  Briefly addressed a single issue relating to homosexuality, and then dove into John 6 in preparation for fully responding to Kerrigan Skelly’s

Started with the Islamic argument that no one can produce anything as majestic as the Qur’an, then took a lengthy call from Pierre, our LDS caller, on the doctrine of God. Then we had some fairly technical calls on two different texts as well.

Took the time to address (through some distractions!) the “Twitter Indulgences” topic that has come up the last few days, trying to get down to the real issue, Rome’s blasphemous teaching on the treasury of merit, purgatory, etc. Then got even closer to finally finishing my review of the Calvinist Call In show! I decided to read over every text in the Qur’an that mentions the name of Jesus on the Dividing Line today. I thought that would only take a portion of the program, but I ended up barely sneaking it into the normal time frame! Many folks in our chat channel found the program tremendously educational.
