Spent some time on Surah 18:27 and then read Peter Leithart’s strange article on Roman Catholicism and Protestantism and then took calls on justification, textual families, and the like. Hope it is helpful!

For the first 45 minutes we played a video from a Muslim asking a question about the Trinity based upon how the Holy Spirit “overshadowed” Mary. Since he asked for Christians to explain the passage, we did! Then we moved to last night’s Hagmann Report which, in the first hour, featured Brannon Howse. Here is the YouTube link:
We had to move the program around a bit today, and I ended up having to do it from home, so my apologies for needing to deal with “providential hindrances.” Started off extending our sincere condolences to Doug Wilson, his family and everyone associated with Christ Church in the passing of his dear father last evening, Jim Wilson. Finished the Shabir Ally vs. Sam Shamoun debate today on the DL. Heard Shabir make it very clear that he does not feel he has to read the Bible in context–an admission that utterly destroys his credibility and his arguments, to be sure. Two main topics today, first, the reality of how much our conversation has changed in the past forty years, illustrated by Mayor Lori Lightfoot in Chicago and the inevitable relationship between her lesbianism and her attitude toward the Christian church. Then we dove into a summary introduction to the Gnostic myth of creation, something we’ve been promising to do for
Took the first half hour to deal with an issue from the Marian Dogmas debate in London, specifically, the citation of Ephiphanius related to the Bodily Assumption. Then in the second half hour I went through a number of corrections of the narrative being promoted by a number of folks relating to the dialogue with Dr. Yasir Qadhi, correcting, reproving,
