Spent some time on Surah 18:27 and then read Peter Leithart’s strange article on Roman Catholicism and Protestantism and then took calls on justification, textual families, and the like. Hope it is helpful!

Went for an hour and forty minutes or so and covered a lot of topics, I must confess! Mainly focused on finishing up our response to Jason Breda on John 6 and his confusion about Greek verbs, participles, tenses, you name it. Did that, and then played a clip from Frank Turek claiming Calvinism is contradictory, and then a clip
Got started a little late (I think what I heard Rich yell was “I killed the whole thing!”) but still managed to sneak a program in covering a wide variety of topics including Clementine’s debate with Jeff Durbin and…other stuff! I leave for England and South Africa this weekend, so we will be back, Lord willing, with more programs at
Started off with Radio Free Geneva today, pressing forward with our review of Jerry Walls’ presentation against Calvinism. We got into the heart of his argument today. Not sure if I will do another on Thursday yet or not. Depends on what I run into during my study time in the darkness before sunrise in the morning! In any case,
Started off with just a few comments on the Papal Resignation, and then got back into the NT Wright article. I also noted that I have put a number of Wright books on the Ministry Resource List, and if folks want me to expand my study of Wright and attempt to provide some kind of explanation of his views in
Started off with a little report on the desert rat traveling in sub-freezing weather, then discussed such things as Joe Rogan, Provisionism, guys pretending to be gals, Biden’s inevitable ultra-leftist SCOTUS appointment and the danger of self-driving cars. Quite a range of things!
Unfortunately, the program wasn’t about Ehrman finally taking a stand on the Qur’an (that would be quite the news!). Instead, I started off with some comments on Ehrman’s new book (I am about halfway through it) and how I hope to use its release as a teaching opportunity to address a wider set of issues. The kind of arguments in
45 minute program audio only today due to travel issues. Covered a little church history and a lot about the culture of death.
Started off with a little reflection on sacralism prompted by a tweet posted by Albert Mohler, but fairly quickly transitioned into total textual critical geekdom. First made some comments about the Textus Receptus, but then jumped 1300 years earlier into the story and started looking at the nomina sacra and early papyus manuscripts. Afraid this one will be a little harder
