I continued my review of the Slick/Sungenis discussion, today discussing issues relating to sola scriptura and textual critical issues. We will continue with a discussion of tradition and Scripture on the next DL, which will be Monday afternoon at 4pm.

Commented on the Queen’s passing and with her the passing of an era. Then we looked at Colossians 2:9, and then at Walter Brueggemann’s comments on the Bible and homosexuality.
Starting at 11am we will go for two solid hours so we can finish off our review of James McCarthy’s sermon (looking at how he attempts to deal with John 6) and then we will launch into a review of Dr. Emir Caner’s sermon from September 18, 2011 at the Monclova Road Baptist Church in Ohio.
