Response to Dave Hunt on Reformed Theology, Part 2 of 3, Election

Mainly relied on callers today to drive the topic, but did report on my time at MCTS (we are going to try to have Sam Waldron and Richard Barcellos on next Tuesday’s program), and thanked some folks who have really done a lot to make the past few weeks special for me, including M.A., V.L., BMcL, and DittoHead. Very thankful

For those who missed the Dividing Line from last (12/4/08) Thursday, Dr. White continued his review of the recent SBC John 3:16 conference and examined Dr. Steven Lemke’s remarks specifically. Dr. White then took a call from Rich in Las Vegas regarding the problems with the John 3:16 conference and Macintosh ownership.

A wide variety of topics covered today, including responding to a Roman Catholic comment regarding debates, a call on Harold Camping, and a continuation of our examination of Norman Geisler’s anti-Calvinism sermon.

   Though the file is up, evidently, I’m the only one who can post the DL announcements, and since I left right after the program, and then flew up to Salt Lake, no one posted the DL from last Thursday. My apologies, we really need to get some other folks who can do this so that it doesn’t fall through the

Had a ton of articles in Evernote to catch up on, including a bunch the continued crusade of the LGBT revisionists to demand Christianity change its fundamental beliefs so that they can feel better, and the fundamental degradation of our culture in promoting human autonomy (hmm—isn’t that a theological issue too?).  Then I moved on to some interactions with Roman

   Started off with a quick discussion of the use of Messianic prophecies by Islamic apologists, including connecting Isaiah 9:6 to Mohammed (except, they have to sort of skip a few portions of the text). Then a call on witnessing to Jehovah’s Witnesses took the rest of the hour, providing a great opportunity for “practical evangelism” training on the topic. Here’s
