For the first hour we thought through the conclusion to a presentation from Dr. Jemar Tisby, considering standpoint epistemology, whiteness, etc. Then I looked at the “shocking” statements I made in the debate with Dr. Riddle on the TR. Ninety minutes. We will do another program, Lord willing, on Friday.
Started off with a solid twenty minutes on the use of lexical sources and, in particular, recognizing the difference between scholarly facts and scholarly interpretation, using the graphics provided immediately below. Then the calls started, and we (expectedly) went over the Caner situation, and the Geisler statement. I told the story of what happened just under a decade ago with
Well, despite corresponding with Nadir Ahmed and letting him know that he would be treated fairly as a caller on the program, evidently, unless we arrange a full debate with him, he won’t call in. Oh well, we tried. We had a nice Muslim come into channel a few hours before the program, with whom we had a good conversation.
Did a quick (45 minute) episode today to do a post discussion/debate review of my encounter with William Lane Craig on Justin Brierley’s Unbelievable program that we recorded just today (in fact, the DL aired less than 30 minutes after we concluded). I explained why I had not publicly discussed the upcoming encounter, went over some of the key issues

Anyway, we then read a wonderfully kind e-mail from one of our zealous defenders of Roman Catholicism, and then looked again at some of the official statements Rome has produced in reference to Islam.
