Dr. White examines the claim that John 14:16 is a corrupted text that originally referenced a prophecy about Muhammad, although no manuscripts support the claim. In the article, both the facts presented and the argumentation are found wanting on just about every point – this theory can not hold up against the context of the passages or manuscript evidence.
Today I was joined by Dr. Michael Kruger, President of Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Kruger has written numerous books that are high on our “you must read this book” list, such as Canon Revisited and The Question of Canon; he likewise contributed to and edited The Heresy of Orthodoxy and The Early Text of the New Testament.
I did not feel well today, but I pressed on, because I really wanted to share this study of Jude 5, CBGM, the variant in the text, and the biblical tapestry of phraseology and teaching that consistently testifies to the deity of Christ. Please get a deep seat, take some notes, and enjoy!
