Back in the saddle for the Dividing Line today. Reviewed the events of the past week, including the break-in, the conference, and the debate. Actually ran out of time, surprisingly! So, as promised, the post-debate review, etc., on the DL!
Yesterday on the DL we continued our Radio Free Geneva examination of William Lane Craig’s recent teachings on the topic of salvation, and in particular, his presentation of a slightly altered Roman Catholic ordo salutis over against the Reformation.

On Radio Free Geneva today we examined this article from Dr. Rich Davis titled “Calvinism’s Gospel Tautology.” This is a classic example of “philosophical traditionalism vs. exegetical accuracy” when it comes to Reformed polemics. Only an hour today, but at least you got to hear the RFG intro! UPDATE: Dr. Davis provided a “response” of sorts after the program aired.
It was not hard at all to put together a string of articles on the moral anarchy in Western culture today, especially on the “transgender” issue. Touched on the conviction by a lower court of two men for daring to quote John 14:6 in public discussion in the UK. Then talked about a few other items, including the upcoming debate
Road trip DL from Colorado Springs prior to the debate on Saturday. Covered a wide variety of topics, but spent most of our time reading from Augustine and dealing with his use of the LXX, early translations, etc.
We did our best to celebrate the World Premiere of Steve Ray’s DVD (in Troy, Michigan) by playing clips from Steve’s recent CA Live appearance and, well, sorta examining his claims for consistency and accuracy. The result was…as to be expected!
As promised we went through Dave Hunt doing his best impersonation of Schultz saying, “I see nothing, NOTHING!” from his radio program. Just a sad, sad thing. Then we had lots of callers (four, I think), to fill up the last half hour. Here’s the program.
