Will Need to Skip Today’s DL…Will Make It Up!The DL is ON for 3:30

Today I started off discussing the launch of “Evangelicals for Marriage Equality,” and given that the phrase “marriage equality” is a lie-phrase, well—that becomes part of the discussion.  Wandered about a bit for the first half hour on that topic, then someone on Twitter completely derailed everything.  I was about to discuss my Twitter convo with Brian Zahnd (see below)

Took a good call on John 6:37 to start (after going over some of the details for this coming weekend of ministry in the Detroit area) and then spent the rest of the hour reviewing more of the presentation of Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed Awal, my opponent in the two upcoming debates this weekend. Also, I just received word that the

James comments on the movie “God’s and Generals” and on his debate with John Sanders on Open Theism. Then callers.

We began with a Jerusalem Jones update, listening to Steve Ray once again misrepresent his former faith. This time, though, we provided appropriate intro music! Then we continued listening to Norm Geisler’s “Why I’m Not a Five Point Calvinist” sermon, noting the regular equivocation in his arguments against the Reformed position.

Today I read some more from Reymond, this time the section on a biblical theodicy, before addressing about two minutes of Paige Patterson’s sermon on Calvinism from 2/2004. Then the phone calls started. Had one call on compatibilism and another on the Mouw situation up in Utah.
