Responding to Pastor Mike Winger on Radio Free Geneva

Pastor Mike Winger posted a response to me on July 23, 2019 on the subject of the atonement. I watched it at that time, but never responded to it, as I was traveling, Michael Brown had responded to me as well, and I just didn’t get around to it. But I kept it in the back of my mind, and listened to it again on a ride, so we started responding today, and will try to wrap up replying to it tomorrow. Here is the video I am responding to.

Gene Kim, Steven Anderson, TRTrads—and a Word to My Fellow Reformed Believers on the Supernatural

Had some fun with a new video from Gene Kim, played a new RFG intro, looked a little at Steven Anderson and the TRTrads, delving into issues of textual criticism, the transmission of the text, etc. Then for the last 20 minutes or so transitioned into an important discussion about the supernatural and the life of the Bible-believing, sola scriptura confessing Christian in light of the amazing events in the life of my fellow pastor at Apologia Church, Jeff Durbin. Just over 90 minutes today.

Radio Free Geneva: Mark Driscoll, Michael Brown, Tony Hutson

A jumbo edition of Radio Free Geneva today, first looking at Mark Driscoll’s recent webcast on “Calvinism,” then looking at Michael Brown’s comments on Calvinism and God’s character.  I addressed my comments directly to Michael, so I hope he will watch and consider my replies.  Finally we played a few minutes from Tony Hutson. Yes, he mentioned Calvinism, but just watching his style was worth the few minutes worth of investment.

Beth Moore Open Letter on Homosexuality, Then A “Choice” Radio Free Geneva!

Before we fired up the RFG theme today I addressed the open letter that has been sent to Beth Moore about her views of homosexuality.  I did so because it seems others (noted on the program) seem to be attempting to run interference for her so as to keep her from having to take a stand on one of the most definitional issues of our day.  Then we fired up the RFG and addressed Leighton Flowers’ attempt to obfuscate his own horrific “choice meats” analogy by accusing me of ripping that statement out of its context.  I documented, to the nth degree, that I did no such thing, and that the context is exactly what I insisted it was by not only playing his own video, but transcribing the words themselves.  We then looked at another clip between Flowers and Roger Olsen that demonstrates the radical nature of Flowers’ commitment to absolute autonomy.
