Started off with the Ally/Licona debate for about the first twenty minutes or so, then took two calls, one regarding Robert Price and the text of the NT (Dan Wallace’s comments that started the call here) and then from Frank in Dallas on doctrinal certainty in light of Roman Catholic claims.

A very enjoyable program today. I started out talking about the upcoming Newsweek hit-piece, and then we took calls the rest of the hour. The first caller and I had a great discussion about the doctrines of grace, proving that it can be done without the rancor some always bring to the discussion! I include the video of that call

One looking for issues with Dr. Hahn’s book find a “target rich environment”, with its dubious reliance on typological interpretation as opposed to actual historical or biblical data on Mary. Dr. White also tells a story from Hahn’s biographical background that may help explain Hahn’s bias when he comes to interpretation.
