Quite a range of things on a Jumbo (90 minute) DL today: started out on the new Qur’an fragments, the big story while I was away from Phoenix. Discussed Bart Ehrman’s less-than-unbiased commentary, and finished up with a discussion of whether I am violating my own confession of faith by not using the TR. Included some, shall we say, straightforward
Today I began with a brief discussion of the Virginia Tech massacre and then transitioned into more of the Ally/Licona debate, then took a call on Markan priority. Also! On the DL for Thursday….A Radio Free Geneva Episode! Surely, Jerry Falwell’s comments from a few days ago are not worthy of an entire RFG edition, but there is more. Over
We had some server problems that got us going a bit late, but we pressed on anyway with a discussion of Roman Catholic priests and a review of some comments on the Eucharist. Here’s the slightly shorted (53 minute) program.
Pastor John Samson returns to guest host on today’s Dividing Line and walks us through numerous New Testament texts which only makes sense in the light of formal Church membership. An eye opening study of God’s word. Here is the YouTube link:
Started off discussing the continued moral schizophrenia of Western Culture and the continuing progression of NewSpeak, the evisceration of the language (diversity and inclusive becoming their own antonyms), and then got a few more minutes of Harry Knox’s comments covered as well. Then we shifted gears after a break and I responded to Abdullah Kunde’s article here.
Started off with a brief refutation of the silliness promoted by Leighton Flowers, and then moved on to actually important issues. First we discussed comments made by William Lane Craig about the historical Adam and the doctrine of original sin. Then we noted that Andy Stanley appeared on Michael Brown’s radio program and attempted to defend his “unhitching the Old Testament”
Started off with worldview issues, including the necessary and inevitable attack upon Christian teaching by secularizing governments in the West, but eventually moved to an extended discussion of Paul’s words to Timothy about women teaching and exercising authority over men. Lots of basic hermeneutics/exegesis issues covered today.
