Today we did a special Dividing Line of nearly two hours in length focusing upon walking through the sixth chapter of John. Roman Catholicism teaches that Jesus taught transubstantiation in this chapter, but a fair reading of the text reveals otherwise. This is a program we hope will be shared with many Roman Catholics. Started off the program with commentary on the moral depravity of our Western culture in light of the Anthony Weiner scandal and the New York legislature looking at adopting the profanation of marriage. Then transitioned into Radio Free Geneva and managed to finish off the Ron Armstrong/Cornerstone Community Church “sermon” on predestination. I will be home, Lord willing, next week,

Did a jumbo edition of the DL today reporting on my trip to South Africa along with my attendance at the Gagnon/Kirk debate on homosexuality. Spent nearly the first hour on the homosexuality topic (interspersed with comments about South African Rooibus Tea) and then moved on to the Muslim debates in the last half hour. Yesterday I replied to a number of points raised by Shabir Ally in the “post-debate discussion.” In fact, I rambled on…for an hour on the subject. I promised to post the textual data on one of his assertions from Luke 22, and I will do that later today.
On January 31st I was contacted by a professor in a reformed seminary relating to Mark Siljander’s book, A Deadly Misunderstanding. That happened to be the day I left for London, so I do not recall when, exactly, I purchased the book via Kindle. I know I began listening to it on a 75 mile climbing ride on February 23rd.
Started off with a review of Tim Staples from CA Live on the subject of “eternal security” illustrating the difference between God-centered and man-centered reading of the Scriptures. Then we moved back to Shabir Ally’s objections to the concept of atonement.
I have been informed that Matthew Bellisario will be calling the DL tomorrow to take me up on my challenge to actually address arguments I have made against Roman Catholicism in debate and published works (rather than attempting to twist comments about the mindset of post-World War II New Testament scholarship into arguments against Rome).
