Hatred of God
James White, , The Dividing Line
Covered a range of items again today, starting off with a truly excellent Christopher Hitchens impression by yours truly (really, I mean it!), and some discussion of his hatred of God, followed by a call from Stephen up in Toronto about the Deedat videos and Dave Hunt’s debate with Shabir Ally coming up. Then I reviewed Steve Ray’s comments on

Radio Free Geneva: Leighton Flowers, Brian Abasciano and Biblical Exegesis (and Plain Fairness)
James White, , Reformed Apologetics, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters
About an 80 minute version of the show today responding to the webcast put out by Leighton Flowers, Soteriology 101, on March 29, 2016, where he interviewed Brian Abasciano concerning my statements about 1 John 5:1. Unfortunately, neither Flowers nor Abasciano did their homework and replied only to the very end of my comments, ignoring 40 minutes of presentation, and

“By What Standard” Trailer, the 11th Commandment, and the CT Outrage Machine
James White, , Christian Worldview, Post-Evangelicalism, Racialism, Reformed Apologetics, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters
Weighed in today on the controversy that managed to explode without my participation whatsoever on Tuesday related to the By What Standard trailer from Founders Ministries. Addressed the trailer, the topics, the 11th commandment, and the critical theory movement that has made such massive inroads into the thinking not only of our society but the church as well. Here is

Adrian Rogers on Romans 9 Pt. 2

Romney and Mormonism, Dan Barker’s Fundamentalist Atheism
James White, , The Dividing Line
Discussed Mitt Romney’s speech on religion in politics, playing some segments from it, then listened to Dan Barker of the Freedom from Religion Foundation warning us about the Dangers of Dogma.

The Manhattan Declaration: Review of an Interview with J. Ligon Duncan
James White, , The Dividing Line
We started half an hour early yesterday on the DL so that I could play the majority of the comments made by J. Ligon Duncan in defense of his signing of the MD. We also read through some material by Dr. Nielsen who likewise signed. Hopefully we found a solid ground upon which to speak to the issue without losing

Randal Rauser and then Hamza Tzortzis and Adnan Rashid on the Bible
James White, , Atheism, Christian Worldview, General Apologetics, Islam, Textual Issues, The Dividing Line
Briefly looked at some comments about atheism and the suppression of the knowledge of God by Randal Rouser, but moved fairly quickly to a response to Hamza Tzortzis and Adnan Rashid on the alleged corruption of the Bible (OK, we took a few minutes to discuss tribbles, but let’s not get into that now). Got less than half-way through, though,

Poor Jared…Yes, Back to the Response
James White, , Baptism, Debate, Exegesis, Federal Vision, Reformed Baptist Issues, Road Trip, Roman Catholicism, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters
Just a few brief comments on Catholicism at the start, then back to Hebrews and Jared’s article. We are, at least, getting into the nitty gritty of what the real issues are, so, I hope that is helpful. Tomorrow is a travel day for me, so I won’t be able to do another program until I am headed home next
