Debates and Open Phones
James White, , The Dividing Line
No, this isn’t going to become routine. I don’t think. I will definitely do a “regular” DL on Thursday, for example. But, did another 90 minute version today. Thirty minutes on the Fernandes/Comis debate (well, sorta…snuck too much in about other items), thirty minutes on the Slick/Perkins debate, and then thirty minutes of open phones, with calls on apologetic methodology,

Spent an hour and 15 minutes with Dr. Jeffery Johnson, President of GBTS, talking about his new book, The Revealed God (2023). Then I responded to a tweet storm from Stephen Wolfe just this morning and talked a bit about what it means to be “truly Reformed.” An hour and 45 minutes.

USA Today Tells Christians to Shut Up, and More
James White, , The Dividing Line
Tackled the USA Today article basically telling us all to stop talking about God’s law and what is right and wrong, answered an e-mail about how to handle emotional responses to God’s sovereignty in salvation, and finished off listening to a series of statements by John Hick, philosopher of religion (and opponent to revelational Christianity).

James White, , Christian Worldview, Church History, Exegesis, General Apologetics, Gospel/Jesus Studies, Islam, Persecution, Post-Evangelicalism, Racialism, The Dividing Line
Started off with a few minutes discussing the reality that a lot of us are facing: how do you have any sense of “normal” anymore when the future looks to troubled, so difficult? The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel: Background, Exegesis, Application
James White, , Exegesis, Post-Evangelicalism, Racialism, The Dividing Line
Given that The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel was released today, I dedicated the program to the topic, the background of the statement, etc. I also took time to provide some biblical reasoning from Revelation 5 and Ephesians 2, and then made application to social media statements that illustrate the corrosive effects of this movement within the church.

Interaction with Diaa Mohamed
James White, , The Dividing Line
As I wandered a bit in my commentary (and interaction with the chat channel) I decided not to delve into the Ehrman materials today, but instead finished Diaa Mohamed’s opening statement. Also announced that we will be doing a Radio Free Geneva this coming Thursday, so join us at our regular time!
