Christian Logic, or Secular Ignorance?
James White, , Christian Worldview
This graphic was sent to me this morning, and I think it is a fine example of the kind of ignorance and prejudice we need to be quick to respond to with grace and clarity in our ever darkening culture. I will be looking at this graphic on the Dividing Line today at 7pm EDT. Join us then!

KJB Fundy Numerology, Flowers’ Unwanted Child, RNS Opinion Piece on Cone
James White, , Christian Worldview, Godly Disciplines, King James Onlyism, Pastoral Theology, Post-Evangelicalism, Racialism, Reformed Apologetics, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters
Had to get the silly stuff out of the way first, so we looked at Andrew Sluder’s “KJB Numerology” where he uses verse numbers and their position in the Bible to prove its inspiration. Then we got serious and read through a Soteriology 101 article and dealt with its man-centeredness. Finished off with an RNS opinion piece that alleged that

Bannerman’s Church of Christ
Jeff Downs, , Christian Worldview
No, this is not some particular man’s cult. I’m referring to the 2 vol. set by James Bannerman. It has been said “Bannerman’s two-volume Church of Christ is one of the greatest classic treatments of doctrine of the church in the history of the church. The Wisdom of the World, Then Two Important LDS Issues
James White, , Christian Worldview, Debate, General Apologetics, Mormonism, Personal, Post-Evangelicalism, Reformed Apologetics, The Dividing Line, Thomism

Enjoy!

Tim Staples and the Marian Dogmas
James White, , Christian Worldview, Roman Catholicism, The Dividing Line
After some brief comments about some of the insanity in the world at the start, focused the rest of the hour upon the comments made by Tim Staples on yesterday’s Catholic Answers Live program where he talked about Mary and her role as co-redemptrix. Important stuff during this 500th anniversary of the Reformation! Here is the YouTube link:

More on the Worldview Revolution, then an Overview of 1 Tim 2
James White, , Christian Worldview, Exegesis, Pauline Studies, Persecution, Post-Evangelicalism, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters
Started off with worldview issues, including the necessary and inevitable attack upon Christian teaching by secularizing governments in the West, but eventually moved to an extended discussion of Paul’s words to Timothy about women teaching and exercising authority over men. Lots of basic hermeneutics/exegesis issues covered today.

A Must Read
James White, , Christian Worldview
The more we learn, the more Paul’s term “without excuse” (ἀναπολογήτους) is proven an understatement. More inarguable evidence of design.
