I forgot to blog these videos that I posted of the very lengthy DL engaging the claims of Patrick Navas and David Barron. Enjoy!
Some of the “regulars” who stand by me and help with resources (VL and RP) flew into the MRL as soon as I posted the preceding entry, and then some new folks (many thanks to you Matt and David) also finished up the Kindle resource requests, all in one evening! I think my little Kindle3 will blow a circuit recording
You know how you get into studying a subject, run across a gem in a footnote, a bibliographical entry, etc., and end up finding something really valuable? Well, I sort of feel like that right now, as I ran across some “leads” in my on-going study of the wide, wide topic of Islam, and not wishing to miss out on
Will the Current Administration of the United States Government Submit the First Amendment to Sharia Law?
James White, , Roman CatholicismTruly makes me wonder how long we will be able to engage in debates with Muslims before such activity is “illegal.” Of course, will anyone note that the Qur’an condemns as “unbelief” the Christian confession of Jesus as the Son of God? Well, not in today’s media and culture, that’s for sure. Christianity is fair game. Inconsistency is the sign
I did not check the citation of Luther yesterday (just didn’t have time, and checking Luther quotes is James Swan’s calling in life—I would not wish to barge into his field of expertise!), but here is Swan’s analysis of Voris’ use of Luther.
We went for 90 minutes today because I just had to take the time to respond to the “Vortex” video posted below. We took the first half hour showing all the errors in this slick pro-Romanist video, and then tackled some more of Diaa Mohamed’s comments before finishing off the last half hour with more examination of Bart Ehrman’s claims
40,000 Protestant denominations? Wow, we have proven the 33,000 number a bold-faced lie many times in the past, but hey, I guess it is just a matter of inflation! Hard to take promoters of Romanism who repeat these absurdities seriously…but it is even worse when they will stare into a video camera and claim that no one…NO ONE, ever accused

The Ministry Resource List is a tremendous asset to me, it really is. It is a major source of encouragement, too. But it has one draw back: sometimes an item is marked “purchased” that never gets to me. And enough of these have now piled up that I need to let folks know that these items have been marked “purchased”
We are reviewing the comments of Diaa Mohamed in his debate with Samuel Green from Sydney the week after my debate with Abdullah Kunde.
*****UPDATE****** We have met the goal. Thank You for your desire to support this work. If you would still like to donate to Alpha and Omega please click the Support Us link above. Blessings, Rich Pierce ******************************************************** Alpha and Omega Ministries has always maintained a strong & reliable dependence on computer technology that allows us to literally serve a world-wide
We are reviewing and responding to the Wallace/Ehrman debate from 10/1, including a review of my cross-examination period from my debate with Ehrman as well, all with a focus upon the fact that for Ehrman, for the New Testament to be “trustworthy,” we would have to possess the originals. Period. His skepticism is, in fact, completely radical and outside the
This seems to be a good time to note the addition of a new resource in our webstore. This work on the deity of Christ is edited by Christopher W. Morgan, Robert A. Peterson, with contributions by Gerald Bray, Alan W. Gomes, J. Nelson Jennings, Andreas J. Kostenberger, Stephen J. Nichols, Raymond C. Ortlund Jr., Stephen J. Wellum.
Ahmed Deedat normally chose his opponents carefully so as to avoid serious challenges to his story-telling form of apologetics. But he did not count on Josh McDowell’s presentation in their debate in South Africa. One of the few times where Deedat’s story telling fell apart, and at the end, he can do little more than blaspheme. McDowell’s response late in
I had hoped to get through my response to this video in about an hour or so, but alas, it took the entire two hours of a Mega DL, dedicated to one of our channel rats and ministry supporters, Ralph P., to finish up. So, I will dive into the Ehrman/Wallace debate, and my review of the Samuel Green/Diaa Mohamed
Below I provide original language references and citations that I will be covering in the discussion on the Dividing Line for November 29, 2011. . A) Is. 6:1 ¶ Καὶ ἐγένετο τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ,
Tomorrow I will be doing a specially-dedicated MEGA (2 hour) DL starting at the regular time (11am MST). Join us and bring your Bible! More in-depth studies. Here are Sunday’s sermons from Hebrews 10 at the Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church:
To all the folks in the Phoenix area: Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary is offering an apologetics class in January (see the banner ad). They have had a number of inquiries about it, but I wanted to let you know that the time period to sign up will soon pass, and since the class is up against a number of
For years now I have been commenting on the fact that homosexual advocates are not, and will never be, satisfied with mere “tolerance.” No, they are demanding uber-rights, supremacy, in-your-face capitulation to the supremacy of their worldview and the denigration of anything that makes them feel “different.” That means families, with a father and a mother, and children growing up
…have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse (ἀναπολογήτους, without a rational defense, an answer, an apologetic).” Romans 1:20) In light of the Mississippi disaster a few weeks ago, it is good to be reminded that the abortion holocaust is purely a matter of convenience, politics, and money combined with corrupt

The day before Thanksgiving, a truly unique and Christian holiday (want to guess how long it will be till some group files suit against its celebration—at least publicly?). For Christians who know the One to whom thanks is due, a wonderful time. Just a few miscellaneous items today. Please pray for my encounter Friday evening with Patrick Navas, “Biblical unitarian,”
Yesterday we did a Jumbo edition of the DL, investing 90 minutes primarily focused upon the exegesis of Philippians 2:5-11, and the real reason we should be thankful at all times. Some might call it an overly long sermon, but I hope those who appreciate textually-based studies will be encouraged, blessed, and edified.
Some will remember this article I wrote a year ago regarding my failed attempt to finally break the six hour barrier in El Tour de Tucson and get my coveted gold medallion for so doing. I tried to make a spiritual application and bring something good out of what was otherwise a very disappointing outing. I made mention of taking
Weather will delay me a bit getting back home today, so I will need to postpone today’s DL till…well, next week. Since next week is Thanksgiving week, I will try to arrange it to have two DLs early in the week, hopefully longer versions, probably Monday and Tuesday. Hope to see you then! UPDATE: James is on his way in
This discussion keeps coming up, so, I am thankful I was given permission to post a brief written “disputatio” between myself and Douglas Wilson on the topic of the “Ecclesiastical Text.” Though we were limited to very brief statements (115 words) I think even this little discussion illustrated the problems with the Ecclesiastical Text theory. It sounds great, but there
